Grace Katherine Roberts
Founder of GKATROB | Artist of memory, place, and story
Art that remembers. Stories that live on.
A Southern born, expressionist artist capturing memory, place, and emotion in bold color and form.
With four generations rooted in Augusta, Georgia, I grew up surrounded by legacy, tradition, and the quiet pull of home. I’ve been creating since childhood - always drawn to the emotion of color and the poetry of place. Art wasn’t just a hobby - it was how I made sense of the world.
I naturally pursued art all throughout school, it was always my favorite and most involved class, especially when I got to high school. My love of visual storytelling led me to study at SCAD, where I deepened my skills in design, painting, and composition - I left SCAD prior to graduation during covid but cherish that time and how it helped me begin to develop my artistic voice.
I spent 5 years after SCAD working at my old school, blending my creative work with teaching - learning and growing so much as a professional and individual. Eventually, I was building my after school art programs, hosting events, and planting the seeds of what would one day become GKATROB.
In June 2025, I officially launched GKATROB as my full-time business - and stepped fully into the calling that had been with me since childhood.
My work blends narrative expressionism and southern impressionism - prioritizing memory over realism, mood over precision. It lives in the space between memory and mood. It’s influenced by the people, places, and experiences that have shaped me - my hometown, my family, my faith - and driven by color, rhythm, and emotional resonance
Whether I’m painting live at events, teaching summer camps, creating commissioned heirlooms, or hiding a “Goose on the Loose” in they city, every part of my art life is built on connection.
I’m so glad you’re here. If you’re looking to collect, collaborate, or simply enjoy the work - you’re in the right place.
With Love,
Grace / GKATROB
