The GKATROB Story
GKATROB is the creative identity of Grace Katherine Roberts - a painter, illustrator, and experience designer based in Augusta, Georgia.
Her work blends Narrative Expressionism with Southern Impressionism using memory, color, and feeling to tell stories that matter. Some pieces are soft and nostalgic, others loud, bold, and raw. But each one holds intention - designed to make you feel something.
GKATROB is more than a service - it’s a signature. A way of making, seeing, and connecting that’s rooted in story, memory, and Southern identity. Whether through painting & drawing, or curating creative events, Grace creates with intention: to spark emotion, preserve meaning, and leave behind something worth remembering.
While GKATROB reflects a singular artistic vision, its growth is shaped by meaningful partnerships and trusted advisors who support the heart of the brand behind the scenes.
The name GKATROB was coined by Grace’s late father, Julian Haley Roberts III, when she was eleven - a mash up of her full name: Grace Katherine Roberts.
It first appeared as her email address, gkatrob@gmail.com, because he didn’t want people online to know if she was a girl or boy. It was protective, playful, and quietly brilliant.
Over time, GKATROB became more than a username. It became her signature- the name behind every account she’s ever made. Since the early days of the name, people have remembered it and now it has even deeper meaning.
After his passing, GKATROB lives on as a tribute to legacy, identity, and love. Today it’s not just a name.
It’s a story.
